Infold Games (the Chinese developer and publisher Papergames’ gacha game label) announced today, October 18, 2026, that its global romance sim Love and Deepspace will run a Blade Runner 2049 collaboration event. The crossover begins Monday, October 19 at 6:00 AM JST (Sunday, October 18 4:00 PM CT / 5:00 PM ET for Western players). The event is themed “Interlinked” (連結, the Japanese word renketsu meaning “linkage”), a play on the linked-memory motif from the 2017 Denis Villeneuve sci-fi film Blade Runner 2049.

A concept trailer premiered alongside the announcement, showing the in-game cast in a Blade Runner-style rain-soaked neon skyline. The official Love and Deepspace English X account (@Love_Deepspace) pinned the news today. The pinned post reads: “Love and Deepspace × Blade Runner 2049 Crossover will be available tomorrow. Concept Trailer Released.” The same pin runs a five-winner $50 USD giveaway for following and reposting, plus a follow-up line: “Every moment with him resurfaces from deep within memory.” The Japanese official account (@LoveDeepspaceJP) carries the same announcement, and Japanese outlet 4Gamer published the news 30 minutes later. No English outlet had covered the crossover as of post time.

Can you play it in English?

Yes: the announcement posted first on the official English X account, with a USD giveaway attached. Love and Deepspace ships with full English text and voice worldwide, and the event runs on the global server, not a Japan-only build.

The 4Gamer report sets the event window at October 19 6:00 AM JST through November 5 5:59 AM JST. Themed pull banners, any new event-story chapters, and gacha rates tied to the crossover were not yet announced at post time. The four canonical Love and Deepspace leads (Xavier, Rafayel, Zayne, and Sylus) are all candidates for a featured banner; the concept trailer hints at a sci-fi-noir silhouette but does not name the lead.

Infold Games is taking the rare step of running the same announcement on both the global English X account (@Love_Deepspace) and the Japanese (@LoveDeepspaceJP) at the same moment, with a US-dollar giveaway attached for English followers. Most gacha-game crossovers in Japanese releases launch Japanese-first, and English coverage trails by hours or days (the same pattern we saw with Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts Collection debuting at the Famitsu #1 earlier this month). Pinning the announcement in parallel and offering a USD prize signals that this event is being treated as a global headline launch. The “Interlinked” theme is also unusually literary for a gacha crossover: the trailer’s noir-city visual language and the “love is truth” framing match the 2017 film’s mood, which sets the event apart from Love and Deepspace’s more common romance-tagged IP tie-ins. Other recent Japan-Desk crossovers followed the inverse pattern (Furyu’s CRYMELIGHT launching November 5 with English support, Wild Dog’s Japanese Ramen Simulator reaching 100,000 Steam sales in a week), where the Japanese game’s English support arrives alongside the global Steam build rather than as a separate English announcement.
