Crazy Taxi: World Tour has revealed its Brazil map. SEGA dropped a new “Welcome to Brazil” trailer at the Brazil Game Show 2026 Press Conference on October 9, making the Rio de Janeiro-inspired setting the fourth of five open-world maps the game will launch with in 2027.
Producer and series creator Kenji Kanno said the Brazil map leans on “the striking contrast between Brazil’s dense, eclectic streetscapes and modern city life.” The one-minute trailer shows players cruising past famous beach culture, hauling the country’s world-renowned coffee, and a nightlife that “never sleeps.” It closes with the tagline “Brazil. Beauty Awaits.” In-game storefronts will include real Brazilian brands Habib’s, Fogo de Chão, and Fast Shop.
Brazil joins the San Francisco-inspired West Coast, Japan, and Germany in the launch lineup, with one more map still TBA. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store in 2027. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere title and is open for wishlisting on every platform.
Maps revealed so far
| Location | Setting | Status |
|---|---|---|
| West Coast | San Francisco-inspired (the original game’s setting) | Confirmed |
| Japan | TBA | Confirmed |
| Germany | TBA | Confirmed |
| Brazil | Rio de Janeiro-inspired | Revealed October 9 at BGS |
| Fifth map | TBA | Not yet announced |
Our read: Brazil’s reveal leaves one launch location still TBA, and the four confirmed maps now cover four continents: North America (West Coast), South America (Brazil), Europe (Germany), and Asia (Japan). If SEGA is aiming for five continents, as Push Square speculates, Africa or Oceania would fit the fifth map. The 2027 window is still all SEGA has given, with no specific date yet. For anyone who grew up on the original arcade, the West Coast map is the obvious hook, but Brazil is the one to watch if you want a fresh, less familiar setting.
Correction (October 10, 2026): An earlier version listed reveal dates for the other maps that we could not confirm; the table now shows only confirmed details.
