Big Walk developer House House confirmed on October 15, 2026, that the co-op adventure will not come to Xbox Series X|S, citing the studio’s support for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
In a statement posted to its website and social accounts, the Australian studio behind Untitled Goose Game said Big Walk would be on Xbox “but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.” Big Walk launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 4, 2026, skipping Xbox entirely; the studio hadn’t previously explained why. The game sold over one million copies in its first week and holds a 91 on Metacritic, with multiple Game of the Year contender appearances.
BDS lists Xbox as a “priority” target over Microsoft’s work with the Israeli government; Microsoft has faced internal employee protests over its contracts. IGN has asked Microsoft for comment.
House House hasn’t said how long it expects to hold the line, or whether the game’s publisher Panic had any input. Big Walk remains on PC, PS5, and Switch 2.
