Microsoft Flight Simulator got a National Championship Air Races update and a new Aircraft Pack today, per a brief Xbox Wire post from editor Mike Nelson. The Xbox Wire announcement, dated October 13, 2026, names both releases but does not detail which aircraft are in the pack, what the National Championship Air Races update adds, or pricing for either item.
The post links to the in-sim Marketplace for both releases. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is the current version of the series, available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X|S. The MSFS (2020) 40th Anniversary Edition also continues to receive new Marketplace content and is available on the same platforms, but it wasn’t specifically named in the Xbox Wire post.
Players looking for full aircraft lists, update contents, and pricing will need to check the in-sim Marketplace directly. The Xbox Wire post is the publisher’s official announcement of today’s two new releases.
