Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has named its first four post-launch characters. Venom, Mighty Thor, X-Men’s Jubilee and a Phoenix-possessed version of Cyclops will all join the Arc System Works fighter’s Year One pass, PlayStation confirmed at EVO France 2026 this weekend.

The four fill the pass PlayStation already sells on the game’s store page. A Digital Deluxe Edition listing for the PS5 game describes the Year 1 Characters and Stage Pass as “four characters and one stage post-launch,” and the four named at EVO match that count exactly. No release dates yet for individual characters beyond the standard “post-launch” window.

The announcement landed on the second day of the Top 8 at EVO France, where zandowastaken won the Marvel Tokon tournament. The EVO X account posted the Top 8 brackets on Saturday. The four characters round out a launch roster that already includes Captain America, Iron Man, Storm, Doctor Doom, Magik, Star-Lord, and others.

Venom is the obvious crowd-pleaser. Marvel’s most-requested fighting-game symbiote gets an acrobane-heavy moveset in the trailer that already circulated after EVO. Phoenix Cyclops, described by the GamesRadar write-up as “the Phoenix version of Cyclops,” points to a powered-up version of the X-Men field leader rather than a separate character. Mighty Thor (Jane Foster) and Jubilee round out the pass.

Our read: Arc System Works and PlayStation built the Year One pass into the launch lineup rather than a separate buy, the same model that made Guilty Gear Strive’s first two seasons feel generous. The four characters land at no extra cost for Digital Deluxe buyers, and only the order in which they drop will be the question worth tracking. It’s also the second post-launch fighter drop this week. Tekken 8 just named its own Year One pass content (Roger Jr. on November 17 plus a free Baki crossover), and BlazBlue: Central Fiction arrived on PS5 with rollback netcode on October 10. Watch for the first character release window. That’s the real data point people care about.
