Over the Hill, the 1-4 player off-road exploration game from Art of Rally developer Funselektor, launched today on Steam for $24.99/€24.99/£22.49, with a 20% launch discount running for the first two weeks.
The Vancouver studio’s first major launch since Golden Lap in 2024 trades the team’s signature stylized top-down rally look for a slower, more exploratory off-road format. Players pick from 1960s-1980s-inspired 4x4s and drive through an interconnected wilderness, solo or with up to three co-op companions, using planks, winches and other equipment to clear obstacles. The maps include dynamic weather, day/night cycles, remote cabins, scenic viewpoints, meteorites, and portals between regions. An in-game camera lets players fill a wildlife compendium and capture scenic shots.
A Supporter Edition runs $37.99/€37.99/£33.99 and adds exclusive vehicle cosmetics, the official 40-track digital soundtrack, and a special camping site with tents and a fireplace. The soundtrack is also available separately for $9.99.
Versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and mobile are set for 2027. The Steam page lists 1.5 million wishlists ahead of launch.
